About us

INDO- is an award-winning furniture and lighting design studio based in Providence, RI.

Established in 2018 by Urvi and Manan Sharma, both from New Delhi, India, and alumni of the Rhode Island School of Design, INDO- seamlessly blends diverse experiences and cultures, fusing its Indian roots with an American design ethos.

Guided by a unique combination of craft, history, and narrative in our design process, INDO- crafts contemporary objects that not only celebrate the handmade but also pay homage to the people and places that inspire them.

Each of our products is meticulously made to order in our RI studio, collaborating with a network of trusted local and regional vendors. Customization in size, material, and finish is easy and allows our creations to be specified in a diverse array of projects.

INDO-'s products serve top-tier interior design and architecture firms working on residential and hospitality projects globally. Notable clients include NICOLEHOLLIS, Studio DB, Chango & Co, Shawn Henderson Design, and David Scott Interiors.

INDO- has also garnered recognition from prestigious publications such as Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, Interior Design Magazine, Dwell and The New York Times. In 2021, Manan and Urvi competed on HBO Max’s Ellen's Next Great Designer. In 2023, Urvi was honored in the Forbes 30 Under 30 Art and Style Category.
